Crop exactly what you need

Drag the crop box to move it and pull the corners to resize it. For precision, focus the box and nudge it with the arrow keys (hold Shift for bigger steps). The size of your selection is shown in pixels so you know what you will get.

Ratios for every platform

  • 1:1 — profile pictures and square posts.
  • 4:5 and 3:4 — portrait posts that take more feed space.
  • 16:9 — video thumbnails, slides and covers.
  • 9:16 — stories and reels.
  • 3:2 — classic camera photos.

Choose “Free” for any shape, or “Original” to keep the picture’s own ratio.

Rotate and flip

Fix sideways photos with the rotate buttons, or mirror a picture horizontally or vertically. The crop is applied after the transformation, so what you see is what you get. Use Reset to start again.

Tips

  • Crop first, then resize with Resize Image to reach an exact pixel size.
  • Cropping removes pixels, so it also lowers the file size.
  • Need an ID photo with the correct proportions? Use the Passport Photo Maker.
